Coldplay’s Chris Martin Getting Stage Bombed By Will Ferrell + Cowbell Is The Funniest Thing Ever
This Saturday, Will Ferrell hosted ‘Will Ferrell’s Best Night Of Your Life,’ an incredibly memorable evening at the beautiful Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The event, which was an all-star cancer benefit, featured A-list comedians like Michelle Wolf, Jerry Seinfeld, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jerrod Carmichael, as well as a Q&A panel starring some of the biggest names in late night: James Corden, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, Samantha Bee and Sarah Silverman.
And that was just the first half of the evening….
Chris Martin followed the comedy portion of the show. He came out with an acoustic guitar and did a stripped-down version of Coldplay’s hit song ‘Viva La Vida.’ About half-way through the song, Will Ferrell entered the stage, wearing shorts and holding his iconic cowbell. You can watch a clip from the hilarious performance below (Will enters a 2:17)
The night also featured a super-group that was assembled by Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The band was made up of Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Guns & Roses’ Duff McKagan and country superstar Brad Paisley.
Another highlight of the evening was when Will Ferrell introduced Brad Paisley by playing his disheveled, drunk brother Gary Paisley. You can catch that video below:
We hope there is a repeat of this night!
